Hana Kimura (木村花, Kimura Hana , born September 3, 1997 in Yokohama ; † May 23, 2020 in Tokyo ) was a Japanese wrestler and actress .

Life

Kimura was the daughter of Kyoko Kimura , who was also a professional wrestler. She was separated from her father when she was one year old. Although her birth father's identity is not publicly known, Kimura has mentioned in interviews that he is from Indonesia, and for this reason she referred to herself as Indonesian-Japanese. She was teased as a child because of her mixed ethnicity. She came under fire for her participation in the Japanese reality TV show Terrace House . She received numerous negative messages and comments on social networks and suffered from depression as a result. She was found dead in her apartment on May 23, 2020. Suicide from an overdose of hydrogen sulfide was suspected to be the cause of death .

Career

On August 21, 2015, Hana Kimura took part in the DDT Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship , which she lost to her mother. In the following years she trained at Wrestle-1's Professional Wrestling University. On March 30, 2016, she made her debut against Reika Saiki , which she won. On August 7th of the same year, she competed against her mother. At the JWP Junior Championship she won the title against Yako Fujigasaki on September 16, 2016, which she had to give back to her opponent after a defeat in the revenge on December 28 of the same year. Around this time she appeared in the World Wonder Ring Stardom . On October 2nd, 2016 Kimura won the Artist of Stardom Championship together with her mother and Kagetsu . Hana Kimura won the Goddess of Stardom Championship at the Stardom's Galaxy Stars Event on June 21, 2017 , the title of which she held for a year. On January 9, she became a permanent Wrestle 1 member. She took part in various tours such as Ring of Honor and Pro-Wrestling: EVE. Eventually, Hana Kimura left Wrestle-1 on March 21, 2019 and switched to World Wonder Ring stardom .

As an actress, she appeared in Tokyo Talk Show (2017), Terrace House: Tokyo (2019-2020) and Lost Decade (2020).
