The SV Mackenbach 1919 e. V. is a German sports club founded in 1919 with headquarters in the local community of Mackenbach , which is part of the Rhineland-Palatinate community of Weilerbach in the Kaiserslautern district .
history
Soccer
20th century
In the 1929/30 season, the first championship in the B-Class Gau-Glan could be achieved. For the 1950/51 season, the soccer team rose to the state league West Palatinate. At the end of the season, the club was able to keep the class with 18:34 points in 13th place.
21st century
In the 2003/04 season, the club played in the Landesliga West and finished fifth with 52 points at the end of the season. Due to the 15th place and 28 points, the club finally had to relegate to the district league after the 2009/10 season. The team ended the first season in the new league in seventh place with 47 points. After the 2013/14 season, the SV was able to qualify for the promotion round to the regional league via second place. The club was able to win this round after a return match against FSV Bretzenheim with a total of four points, which allowed the team to climb back into the regional league. The team was able to finish the first season in the national league in ninth place with 43 points. The club played in this league until the 2017/18 season. The first team was then canceled, and since the 2019/20 season the team has been back in the A-Class Kusel-Kaiserslautern .
