SYSCAD is a 2D CAD add-on software for Autodesk AutoCAD and is developed by the German company SYSCAD TEAM GmbH.
purpose
With the additional product SYSCAD, windows, doors and facades of all leading European profile system suppliers can be drawn very easily in AutoCAD and evaluated with parts lists.
SYSCAD is used by facade planners and metal workers. In the metalworking and metal construction sector, SYSCAD is used in conjunction with the free STAHL / ALU / TIMBER profile system for constructing railings, platforms or substructures for attachment facades. Parts lists are also possible here.
Dissemination, platform
The software is used throughout Europe and is sold through local specialist dealers, who also provide training and support for users. There are regular reports on the software in various specialist journals for the metal / wood construction industry.

history
The first version of the software was completed in 1989 at the profile system supplier W. HARTMANN & Co. The development center of this company was located in Nuremberg. Until 2001, SYSCAD was only available for the profile systems from W. HARTMANN & Co. As a result of the merger of Hueck and W. HARTMANN & Co. from this point on, also for the profile systems of both companies. After the development center was closed in 2003, the developers were able to take over all rights to the program and open them to all other profile systems.
