The Sa Talaia is 475 meters high, the highest mountain in the Spanish Balearic island of Ibiza and the fifth highest in the Balearics.
It is located in the center of the municipality of San José in the south of the island. From Sa Talaia you have a wide panoramic view over the island, the mountain is well suited for hiking.
On January 7, 1972, the aircraft from Iberia Flight 602 crashed into the mountain about 30 meters below the summit while approaching. The plane was completely destroyed in the explosion, killing all 104 occupants.
