SaarLorLux ticket
The SaarLorLux ticket is a valid one day season ticket for the SaarLorLux -region. The ticket was created as a result of cooperation between the federal state of Saarland , the state of Luxembourg , the Lorraine region , the Société nationale des chemins de fer français (SNCF), the Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois (CFL) and the DB AG . It was introduced on May 30, 1999, at the time the price was DM 30 for the first person and DM 15 for each additional person.
The ticket is referred to on a website of the DB AG as an "international nice weekend ticket " . It is valid in the following areas in the second carriage class:
- Germany : All local trains of the DB Regio in Saarland , in addition the regional trains Saarbrücken - Trier and some local regional trains in the border area. Between Saarbrücken and France, as well as Trier and Luxembourg, on InterCity or EuroCity trains at no extra charge .
- France : All trains within Lorraine , except ICE and TGV
- Luxembourg : All trains in the country, except ICE and TGV
The ticket is valid on a Saturday or Sunday until 3 a.m. the following day. The first person from the age of six pays the full price of € 26, up to four passengers only € 10 per person. When buying at the counter, a surcharge of two euros per ticket is charged. (As of July 2015).
