Sabine Ahrens-Eipper (born June 16, 1972 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ) is a German psychologist , psychological psychotherapist and author of popular scientific specialist texts.

Live and act

Ahrens-Eipper studied psychology at the University of Kiel from 1992 to 1997 . During this time, she worked for three years as a pedagogical employee in a residential group for young people and worked with children with behavioral problems at a primary school in Kiel from 1996 to 1999. After completing her studies, she worked as a research assistant at the Kiel Institute for Therapy and Health Research IFT-Nord and in the Department of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy at the University of Halle . Her dissertation was carried out in 2002 on the subject of "Social Insecurity in Childhood - Indication and Effectiveness of Behavioral Therapy Training" and was awarded a sponsorship prize by the professional association of paediatricians a year later .

From 2000 to 2006 she completed further training as a psychological psychotherapist, during which she worked for a year as a ward psychologist at the Burgenland Clinic in Bad Kösen . In 2006 she established herself as a psychological psychotherapist.

Ahrens-Eipper is also active within the East German Chamber of Psychotherapists . Since 2010 she has been chairman of the specialist commission for psychotrauma therapy, since 2015 chamber delegate and since 2019 board member. From 2015 to 2019 she was a member of the Committee for Quality Assurance and the Committee for Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy and has been a member of the Committee for the Joint Advisory Board for Psychotherapy with Medical Associations since 2019 .
