Sabine Barthel

Sabine Barthel (* 1962 in Dessau ) is a German politician of the AfD . She has been a member of the Brandenburg state parliament since 2019 .

Life

After attending the Polytechnic Oberschule and the Extended Oberschule, Barthel studied at a technical college for the food industry from 1981 to 1986 and graduated as an engineering economist. From 1987 to 1990 she worked as a teaching instructor. She has been working as an independent insurance broker since 2001. In 2005 she completed an apprenticeship as a financial services consultant .

Barthel joined the AfD in 2016. In the local elections in 2019 , she ran unsuccessfully for the mayor's office in Zehdenick , but was elected to the city council and the district council of the Oberhavel district.

In the state elections in Brandenburg in 2019 , Barthel was directly elected to the state parliament of Brandenburg in constituency 10 (Uckermark III / Oberhavel IV) . She won the direct mandate with 24% of the first votes .

Sabine Barthel has lived in Zehdenick since 1998. She has two sons.
