Local elections in Brandenburg 2019
The municipal elections in Brandenburg 2019 took place on May 26, 2019 . Elected representatives for the district councils , city councils , municipal councils and village councils and several mayors .
On the same day, the elections for the European Parliament , the citizenship in Bremen , the Hamburg district assemblies and the municipal elections in Baden-Württemberg , Saxony , Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania , Rhineland-Palatinate , Saarland , Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia took place.

The turnout was 58.6 percent (1,248,374 of 2,129,673 eligible voters; +12.4 percentage points compared to 2008). There were 2.2 percent invalid votes.
Regional focus of the parties
The best results in each case in the district assembly elections (in urban districts: city council assemblies) were:
- for the CDU 26.7% in Brandenburg an der Havel and 25.0% in Elbe-Elster
- for the SPD 21.5% in Oberspreewald-Lausitz and 21.2% in the Uckermark
- for the left 22.7% in Frankfurt (Oder) and 17.6% in Märkisch-Oderland
- for the Greens 18.8% in Potsdam and 16.2% in Potsdam-Mittelmark
- for the AfD 26.5% in Spree-Neisse and 22.3% in Cottbus
