Sabine Dittmar (born September 15, 1964 in Schweinfurt ) is a nanny and general practitioner as well as a German politician ( SPD ). She was a member of the Schweinfurt District Assembly, the Bavarian State Parliament and became a member of the Bundestag in 2013 . She works on the Committee on Health and Tourism.

Life

Dittmar was born in Schweinfurt , but grew up in Maßbach . There she achieved the qualifying secondary school leaving certificate and then the vocational school in Münnerstadt . Then she completed an apprenticeship as a nanny , in 1982 she did her Abitur at the Bayernkolleg Schweinfurt . In 1985 she began studying physics at the University of Würzburg , which she dropped out after three semesters. She then began to study human medicine. She finished her studies in 1993 when she passed the third medical examination. In the first two years of her career, she worked as an assistant doctor in various hospitals . In 1995, she opened with her husband, a primary care group practice in Maßbach. She later gave up her work as a general practitioner in favor of politics.

Dittmar joined the SPD in 1981 . At first she was the cashier and secretary in the local club Maßbach, of which she was the local club chairwoman from 1990 to 2007. In 1990 she was elected to the Bad Kissingen district council. There she was first deputy parliamentary group leader in 1996, and from 2005 she was group leader. In May 2008 she took over the chairmanship of the SPD district association of Bad Kissingen, in the following July she was also elected to the district executive committee of the SPD Lower Franconia. In the state elections in Bavaria in 2008 , Dittmar was elected to the Bavarian state parliament in constituency 603 Bad Kissingen / Hohe Rhön ( constituency Lower Franconia ) .

She ran for the 2013 federal election to succeed Susanne Kastner , who no longer ran. Via the state list, she succeeded in entering the Bundestag.

In the 19th German Bundestag , Dittmar is the chairwoman of the health committee and is represented as a deputy member of the defense committee.

Dittmar is a member of the non-partisan European Union Germany , which advocates a federal Europe and the European unification process.

In the 18th legislative period of the German Bundestag she is a full member of the Committee on Health and the Committee on Tourism and a deputy member of the Defense Committee and secretary. She is also a member of the extended parliamentary group executive committee of the SPD parliamentary group.
