Sabine Ercklentz

Sabine Ercklentz (* 1967 in Mönchengladbach ) is a German trumpeter and composer .

Career

Ercklentz first studied law at the Free University of Berlin, later trumpet / popular music at the Hanns-Eisler University of Music. She lives and works as a composer, musician and performer in Berlin. Her works often move in musical border areas and across fixed genre boundaries. She is part of composer-performer ensembles such as u. a. NEW (with Andrea Neumann and Ute Wassermann ), Asteroseismology (with Margareth Kammerer and Lucile Desamory), Contagious (with Andrea Neumann and Mieko Suzuki), TriTop (with Liz Allbee and Birgit Ulher ). She often works in collaboration with other artists. Long-term collaboration with Andrea Neumann, Antonia Baehr , and Anja Weber. In addition to using advanced playing techniques on the trumpet, she often uses live electronics in her concert performances. "The body making music on stage", "the interaction between the performer and the media" and "the networking of the performers with each other" are frequently recurring themes.
