Liz Allbee

Liz Allbee (also: Luz Alibi, * 1976 in Berlin , Vermont ) is an American trumpeter.

Life

Allbee studied music and media studies at Mills College in Oakland (California) and has performed in the USA with bands and artists such as Anthony Braxton , the Rova Saxophone Quartet , Fred Frith , Phillip Greenlief , Gino Robair and Jon Raskin . Allbees works are mainly genres like the new music , new improvisational music , the electroacoustic music and sometimes the noise attributable. She writes film and theater music, and has participated in numerous international festivals.

Liz Allbee lived and worked in the San Francisco Bay Area for 14 years before moving to Berlin (Germany) in 2009 . Since then she has worked with, among others, Axel Dörner , Frank Gratkowski , Michael Renkel , Günter Heinz , Ernesto Rodrigues and the Neue Dresdner Kammermusik .

Since 2013 she has been forming the group of female performers XLR-Female together with Antje Vowinckel , Steffi Weismann , Anouschka Trocker and Margarete Huber .
