Sabine Gretner

Sabine Gretner (born March 18, 1972 in Vienna ) is an Austrian politician ( Greens ) and was a member of the Vienna State Parliament and City Council from 2005 to 2011 .

School and professional career

Sabine Gretner studied at the Vienna University of Technology Architecture and graduated from Erasmus -Auslandsstudium for landscape planning in Angers ( France ). She worked for various architectural offices in Austria and France and between 2000 and 2005 she was a specialist in urban development, architecture and construction in the Green Club in Vienna's City Hall. As part of a teaching position at the Vienna University of Technology, she has worked at the Institute for Urban Development, Landscape Architecture and Design since 2005. From 2005 to 2011 she was also a councilor and member of the state parliament of the Greens in the municipality of Vienna. Since 2012 she has been the head of the Caritas community work.

Political career

As part of her professional activity, Gretner worked for five years as a specialist at the Green Town Hall Club. She was federal congress delegate of the Wiener Grünen and between November 18, 2005 and October 21, 2011 a member of the Vienna State Parliament and City Council until October 21, 2011. Her political focus was on urban planning and building regulations.

On October 17, 2011, Gretner announced her withdrawal from politics, four days later she resigned as a member of parliament.
