Sabine Meck

Sabine Meck (born November 30, 1955 in Hattingen ) is a German scientist, journalist and therapist.

Research activities

Sabine Meck studied social science , psychology , sports science and Slavic studies and received her doctorate in 1985 and 1999. rer. soc. or Dr. phil. in Bochum and Kiel. Her research and teaching assignments took her to the universities of Bochum, Gießen, Rotterdam, Kiel, Berlin and Mainz. Since January 2008 she has been running the Steinbeis Transfer Institute for Personality Research and Ethics at the Steinbeis University in Berlin .

In addition to her academic work, Sabine Meck also held leading positions in investor and public relations for several years. She has also been a member of the supervisory board of various listed companies for many years.

Her areas of work include a. the empirical research , the personality, values and ethics research, selected financial psychological issues as well as economic and psychological questions about family. In teaching, she currently represents ethics (medical ethics, leadership ethics) and moral decision-making.

The main focus, however, is on research and publications on serenity, mindfulness and happiness.

Today Sabine Meck works mainly in her own private practice as a therapist, consultant and coach. She is a member of the Teresian Carmel Community (TKG) and offers Carmelite retreats and days of reflection.
