Sabine Smentek (* 1961 in Berlin ) is a German management consultant and State Secretary . She has been in office since December 9, 2016 with responsibility for information and communication technology in the Berlin Senate Department for Home Affairs and Sport in Senate Müller II .

biography

After graduating from high school, Sabine Smentek first completed an apprenticeship as a bank clerk , which was followed by a degree in business administration at the Free University of Berlin , which she completed in 1986 with a degree in business administration .

After completing her studies, she took on various positions in the Berlin Senate Administration until 1992 . From 1993 she worked as a management consultant, initially employed, then freelance from 1995 to 2013. She returned to public administration in 2014 as a district councilor in the Mitte district . Since December 2016 she has been State Secretary for Information and Communication Technology in the Berlin Senate Department for Internal Affairs and Sport .

Politics and party

Smentek has been a member of the SPD since 1983 and is active in various local political functions.
