Sabine Tippelt (born September 13, 1961 in Grünenplan ) is a German politician ( SPD ). She has been a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament since 2008 .

Life

Tippelt graduated from secondary school in Delligsen in 1978 . From 1978 to 1981 she completed an apprenticeship as a dental assistant. She worked in her profession until she was elected as a member of the state parliament. In 1986 she joined the SPD and became deputy chairwoman of the SPD district association in Holzminden. She is chairman of the Working Group of Social Democratic Women (ARSP) in the Holzminden sub-district. In addition, she has been a councilor for the Delligsen community since November 1, 1986, and was chairwoman of the SPD parliamentary group from 2001 to 2014. Since November 1, 2001 she has been a member of the district council in the Holzminden district .

In the state elections on January 27, 2008, she lost the Holzminden district (constituency 20) with 36.7 percent of the first vote, compared to the CDU candidate Uwe Schünemann with 47.6 percent, but entered the Lower Saxony state parliament via the SPD state list. In January 2013 she was able to win the state constituency of Holzminden as a direct candidate with 42.6 percent of the first votes and relegated her rival Uwe Schünemann (40.6 percent) to second place. In October 2017, she defended the Holzminden state electoral district as a direct candidate with 47.1% of the first votes. Tippelt is the spokeswoman for tourism policy in her parliamentary group.

From September 2008 she was also a member of the advisory board of the Braunschweigische Landessparkasse in the Holzminden region.
