Sabine Waschke (born April 24, 1959 in Schlüchtern ) is a Hessian politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament .

Life and work

After graduating from high school in 1978, Ms. Waschke trained as a commercial specialist from 1978 to 1980. She is married and has two kids.

Sabine Waschke is a member of the SPD and chairwoman of the SPD sub-district of Fulda .

She is a member of the district council of the Fulda district and has been the deputy chairwoman of the SPD district parliamentary group there since 2006.

Since April 5, 2003, she has been a member of the Hessian state parliament and a member of the study commission on demographic change, the interior committee, the petitions committee and the hardship commission at the Hessian minister of the interior and for sport. Since 2008 she has been a member of the Committee on Environment, Rural Areas and Consumer Protection and the Committee on Economy and Transport. For the SPD parliamentary group she is the spokesperson for tourism policy and for agricultural policy.

Up until 2012, Waschke was chairwoman of the Fulda branch of the German Child Protection Association .

In the state elections in Hesse in 2013 , she ran in the Fulda II constituency . Here she lost to Markus Meysner . However, you succeeded in entering the state parliament via a list of the party.

Even in the state elections in Hesse in 2018 , she was unable to win the direct mandate and entered the state parliament via the state list.
