The Sabrina Valley is an ice-free valley in the Australian Antarctic Territory . In the Britannia Range , it lies between the Pontes Ridge and the Sabrina Ridge .
A team of New Zealand geologists from the University of Waikato , who carried out surveys in this area between 1978 and 1979, named the valley based on the name of the Sabrina Ridge. This is named after the name of the English River Severn in Roman times .
