The Tamarus Valley is an ice-free valley in the Australian Antarctic Territory . In the Britannia Range , it is south of the Sabrina Ridge and 4 km northeast of Mount Henderson .
A team of New Zealand geologists from the University of Waikato who conducted surveys in the area between 1978 and 1979 named it. Tamarus is the name for the English river Tamar in Roman times .
