Sacha Benedetti (* 1972 in Freudenstadt ) is a German - French composer , media and theater artist who lives in Berlin and Corsica .

education

Sacha Benedetti first studied computer science in Darmstadt and from 1995 he assisted Achim Szepanski and his labels Position Chrome and Mille Plateaux .

radio

In 1996 he founded together with Dr. Suso Kraut founded the pirate station and the artist radio TwenFM in Frankfurt am Main , on which performative audio art and electronic music were broadcast. TwenFM moved to Berlin in 1998 and continued broadcasting there until 2015. From 2003 to 2005, Benedetti was director of the Bootlab eV media laboratory, which, alongside the WMF Club in the Berlin Telegraph Office, was an international meeting place and performance space for media artists and network activists during the late 1990s and early 2000s . With TwenFM, together with other radio activists from RebootFM and Piradio, in 2009 he laid the foundation stone for the first non-commercial radio in Berlin, which still broadcasts on 88.4 FM .
