Sacha Perry

Sacha Perry (born May 1, 1970 in Brooklyn , New York City ) is an American jazz pianist and composer .

Live and act

Perry is a student of Barry Harris and Frank Hewitt ; he plays in the tradition of bebop musicians such as Bud Powell , Elmo Hope , Thelonious Monk and Herbie Nichols . Perry appears regularly at the New York jazz club Smalls , whose label also releases his albums with his own compositions. He has also worked with Teddy Charles , Bob Mover / James Zollar , Zaid Nasser , Ari Roland , Chris Byars ( Photos In Black, White And Gray 2007), the Across 7th Street Septet, Mike Mullins and Grant Stewart.
