Sacrifice to the King of Beasts ( Japanese 贄 姫 と 獣 の 王 , Niehime to Kemono no Ō ) is a manga series by Yu Tomofuji that has been released in Japan since 2015. The work can be classified into the genres Shōjo , Romanticism and Fantasy and has been translated into several languages.

The world is ruled by demons, whose king people regularly have to make a sacrifice. Saliphie grew up as the 99th demon victim and had a tough childhood. But she is not afraid to speak her mind to everyone's face. So did the Prime Minister and the Demon King at the offering. In contrast to the earlier victims, she does not want to beg for her life, but praises the soft and gentle paws of the king. He soon lets Saliphie, who was supposed to be locked up as a victim, explore the palace and takes her on a journey. This arouses displeasure among his subjects. Some of them want to venture a revolt against the king and are just waiting for the right moment. So far, the sacrifices have been used to ensure that the king shows his strength. But now the king has fallen in love with the girl and this with him. He wants to marry her and make her his queen, which leads to even more contradiction among the demons.

The series has been published in Japan in August 2015 in the Hana to Yume magazine by Hakusensha . He brought out the chapters in eight anthologies so far. Volume 8 sold over 46,000 copies in the first two weeks after its release.
A German translation of the manga has been published by Carlsen Manga in five volumes since August 2018 . An English translation is published by Yen Press .
