Sacro Cuore Immacolato di Maria ai Parioli (Latin: Sacri Cordis Baetae Mariae Virginis ad Forum Euclidis ) is a titular church in Rome .

overview

With donations from the Italian community in Canada, construction of the new church began in 1923 based on a design by the architect Armando Brasini ; the original design was changed several times due to lack of money. The parish was founded on May 18, 1936 with the decree Apostolica impulsus by Cardinal Vicar Francesco Marchetti Selvaggiani . In 1936 the crypt was inaugurated and entrusted to the order of the Claretians (sons of the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary / Heart Mary missionaries). In 1951 the construction of the church was completed with an outbuilding for the Claretians around Saint Anthony Maria Claret . The church was consecrated on May 1st, 1959 by Luigi Traglia .

On May 1, 1959, Pope John XXIII. the elevation to a minor basilica and on March 12, 1965 the elevation to the title church of the Roman Catholic Church by Pope Paul VI.

The church is located on Piazza Euclide (Via del Sacro Cuore di Maria 5) in the Roman quarter of Pinciano .
