Sacrobosco is an impact crater on the front of the moon west of Mare Nectaris , southeast of Azophi crater and southwest of Fermat . The crater is very badly eroded and the crater wall is difficult to make out. There are several secondary craters inside.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the English mathematician and astronomer Johannes de Sacrobosco .
