Sadegh Husseini Shirazi

Sadegh Husseini Schirasi ( Persian سید صادق حسینی شیرازی, Arabic صادق بن مهدي الحسيني الشيرازي, DMG Ṣādiq b. Mahdi al-Husaini aš-Šīrāzī ; * August 20, 1942 in Karbala ) is a Shiite Ayatollah in Iran . He is known for founding Islamic centers , non-profit organizations, and Islamic television channels .

Life and family

Sadegh Schirasi was born on August 20, 1942 (1361 according to the Islamic calendar ) into a family of clergymen who originally came from Shiraz , including Mohammad Hasan Schirazi ; his brother was Mohammad Husseini Shirazi . He lives in the Iranian city of Qom and is the head of a theological college there.
