Safra A. Catz (born December 1961 in Cholon , Israel ) is an American manager.

Life

Catz was born in Israel to Jewish parents and moved to the United States with her family when she was six.

She has been Chief Financial Officer since 2011 and a President of Oracle Corporation since 2004, alongside Mark V. Hurd . In addition, she has been a member of the HSBC Board of Directors since May 2008 .

Safra Catz graduated with bachelor at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and the degree JD at Harvard Law School . From 1986 she worked for various investment banks . In 1997, Catz became a director of the investment bank Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette . She joined Oracle in 1999 as Senior Vice President and soon Executive Vice President , and since October 2001 she has been a member of the Executive Board.

Safra A. Catz is married and has two children.
