All results in the judo database judoinside.com are assigned to the Kazakhs Sadykov, including those at the 2000 Olympic Games. If you check the results of the 2000 Asian Championships on judoinside.com, it is noticeable that Kazakhstan with two competitors in four weight classes was placed below the should have achieved best eight. The only other country with more than one placed fighter in a weight class is South Korea in the super lightweight men, the traditionally leading nation in judo Japan has not placed two fighters in the top eight in any weight class. This means that the nation data in the judo database for judoka with changing nationality are at least doubtful. It is not clear when Sadykow ran for which country. It is only certain for which country he competed at the Olympic Games. In 2003 he won the Kazakh championships, at the latest from then on he has fought for Kazakhstan.
