Sahar Delijani
Sahar Delijani ( Persian سحر دلیجانی, DMG Sahar Deliğāni ; * September 18, 1983 in Tehran , Iran ) is an Iranian writer . Like many others, her family had to leave their home country for political reasons. In 1996 the family emigrated from Iran and went to Northern California , where Sahar studied comparative literature at the University of California at Berkeley . Delíjaní has lived with her husband in Turin, Italy, since 2006 . Her first novel "Children of the Jacaranda Tree", which tells their family story, was translated into several languages and published worldwide.
Delijani also has Italian and US citizenship.
