The Saikai National Park ( Japanese 西海 国立 公園 , Saikai Kokuritsu Kōen ) extends over the western sea areas ( saikai ) in Nagasaki Prefecture of the Kyūshū region , the southernmost of the four main Japanese islands. The land area of ​​the national park, which has existed since March 16, 1955, comprises more than 400 islands. The largest islands are Fukue-jima and Nakadori-jima , which belong to the Gotō Islands , and the two coastal islands Hirado-jima and Ikitsuki-jima . The coastal archipelago Kujūkushima also belongs to the national park .
