Saint George (St. Vincent and the Grenadines)

Saint George is a Parish administrative unit in the island state of St. Vincent and the Grenadines in the Caribbean . It extends over the southern part of the island of St. Vincent . With an area of ​​52 km², it is the third largest parish in the country in terms of area. In 2000 there were 52,400 inhabitants, making it the most populous Parish. The population of the Parish makes up 44% of the total population.

Kingstown is the largest settlement and capital of the Parish and is also the capital of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Other large settlements are Arnos Vale , Calliaqua and Villa . The islets of Milligan Cay and Young Island also belong to the Parish .
