Saint Lucia National Trust

The Saint Lucia National Trust is a non-profit organization that was established in 1975 by law of the island state of St. Lucia . The aim of the trust is the “preservation of the netur and cultural heritage of St. Lucia, and the promotion of values ​​that strengthen national pride and love for the country.” The trust is a member of the Caribbean Initiative .

The trust is administered by an advisory board made up of 11 people. Seven of them are directly elected by the members of the organization. The current patroness is the Governor General Pearlette Louisy .

The Trust manages a number of different properties, including National Landmarks (currently only: Pigeon Island National Landmark ), historical sites ( Morne Fortune ), nature reserves ( Maria Islands Nature Reserve , Anse La Liberte ) and nature reserves ( Pointe Sable Environmental Protection Area ) .
