Saint Michel (Larchant)
The Saint Michel sculpture in the St-Mathurin basilica in Larchant , a French commune in the Seine-et-Marne department of the Île-de-France region , was created in the 14th century.
In 1948, the sculpture of Archangel Michael was added to the list of architectural monuments in France as Monument historique .
The approximately 75 centimeter high stone sculpture depicts St. Michael defeating Lucifer . It originally stood on the facade above a window.
