Saint Paul Capisterre or Saint Paul’s is one of two places in the Parish Saint Paul Capisterre on the island of St. Kitts in St. Kitts and Nevis . The place has about 1200 inhabitants.
geography
Saint Paul's is located in the north of the island, in the northeast of the Parish, adjacent to the Belmont Estate , which is west of the village. The Island Main Road connects the place to the northeast with Dieppe Bay Town in the Parish of Saint John Capisterre . To the southwest, the road first leads through Newton Ground towards the Parish Saint Anne Sandy Point .
history
One of the largest sugar cane plantations existed on site. After the closure of the sugar cane mills, unemployment skyrocketed and the government launched a series of work programs. Among other things, the St Paul's Sporting Complex Cricket Stadium was built .
