The Saint Rita Point ( Spanish Cabo Santa Rita ) is a headland with a rocky outcrop on the east coast of the West Antarctic James Ross Island . It is north of the mouth of the Gourdon Glacier in Markham Bay .

The name of the headland was first recorded on an Argentine map from 1959. It is named after the Italian nun Rita von Cascia (1381–1447), saint of the Roman Catholic Church and patron saint of butchers , for hopeless concerns, for exams and smallpox .
