Ali Sakal (born August 8, 1983 in Tirebolu ) is a Turkish football player who plays for Gümüşhanespor .
Career
Sakal started with club football in the youth department of Giresunspor . Here he received a professional contract in the summer of 2002 and was accepted into the professional squad. After half a season he moved to Bulancakspor and played here for one and a half seasons. He then returned to Giresunspor.
It was only used for the professionals in three competitive games, including a league game. He spent the next two seasons as a loan player with second division club Akçaabat Sebatspor . For the 2007/08 season he was loaned to the second division club Diyarbakırspor . With this team he made it to the play-off semi-finals of the TFF 1st Lig and missed promotion to the Süper Lig . Then he played half a season as a loan player for Diyarbakırspor.
In the summer of 2006 he moved to the first division club Diyarbakırspor and spent the first half of the season with this team. The second half of the season he was loaned to the second division Gaziantep Büyükşehir Belediyespor .
The following seasons he played for various second division clubs. In spring 2010 he moved to the second division Gaziantep Büyükşehir Belediyespor . In the 2010/11 season he made it with Gaziantep BB in the play-off final of the TFF 1. Lig and missed promotion to the Süper Lig in the last instance by losing to Orduspor .
In the summer of 2014, he moved to the third division Yeni Malatyaspor . With this club he reached on the 34th matchday, the last matchday of the season, the championship and thus promotion to the TFF 1st Lig .
For the 2016/17 season he moved to third division Gümüşhanespor .
