Saki Kitamura ( Japanese 北 村 咲 希 , Kitamura Saki ; born March 2, 1991 ) is a Japanese ski jumper .

She has been studying sports science at Matsumoto University since 2009 .

Career

Kitamura made her international debut in March 2007 on the Zaō hill in Yamagata as part of the Ski Jumping Continental Cup . She immediately won the 23rd Continental Cup points in both competitions, with which she finished 50th overall at the end of the season. In March 2008, before and on her 17th birthday, she was able to attract attention again in two FIS competitions in Sapporo as sixth and 10th and started again in the Continental Cup a week later in Yamagata. Once again she was able to place herself in the points ranks and reached a total of six points as 25th, which brought her to 69th place in the 2007/08 overall ranking . Also in March 2009 she started twice in Yamagata in the Continental Cup and achieved her best individual result in the second competition in 21st place. Already in the first competition she was successful in 24th place and in the end reached 61st place in the overall ranking of 2008/09 . A few days later she was in the squad again in the FIS jumping competitions in Sapporo and ended up being 21st and 15th.

At the two Continental Cup competitions in March 2010 in Yamagata, she was 25th each time and thus again achieved 12 points in the overall ranking of 2009/10 , which meant 54th place. In the following season, she was not firmly accepted into the A-squad and only started in Yamagata, where she won a total of eleven points as 20th. In the end, she finished 71st in the overall ranking. It was her last Continental Cup start so far. In two FIS competitions in Sapporo shortly afterwards she reached the ranks 12 and 13. Her last international start so far was on March 3, 2013 at the FIS competition in on the Ōkurayama hill in Sapporo, where she finished 12th again Could achieve result.
