The Salasungo (also Ganesh III ) is the fourth highest mountain in the Ganesh Himal with a height of 7043  m .

The summit is located on the border between the Nepalese administrative zone of Bagmati and the Tibet Autonomous Region ( People's Republic of China ).

Ascent history

On October 19, 1979, a Japanese-Nepalese expedition (Hideo Ogura, Pemba Tshering Sherpa, Dawa Norbu Sherpa) made the first ascent. On October 20th they were followed by the Japanese Mitsuyasu Maeda and Shinji Eguchi, the two Sherpas Mingma Tenzing and Tendi and Ogura for the second time. On October 21st there was another ascent. This time by Takashi Kitahara and Makoto Yoko. The ascent route led over the north face to the summit.
