The Salisbury Bluff are 120 m high cliffs on the south coast of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . On the Hurd Peninsula, they tower 3 km southwest of Johnson's Dock on the east bank of South Bay .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the formation in 1991 after the British sealer Salisbury from Liverpool , who operated under Captain Thomas Hodges between 1820 and 1821 in the waters around the South Shetland Islands.
