Sallustius of Jerusalem
Sallustius († July 23, 494 ) was Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem from 486 until his death .
He was friends with Saint Sabas and reformed the monasticism of Palestine. He fought the Monophysites , who had made the Palestinian monasteries the center of their endeavors. He set Sabas as the hegumen of all monks in the Lauren , as well as Theodosius as the hegoumenos of all monasteries.
