Salomon Gottlob Frentzel ( Upper Sorbian Salomon Bohuchwał Frencel ; born January 25, 1701 in Schwarzkollm ; † March 22, 1768 ) was clergyman and local chronicler of the city of Hoyerswerda in Saxony.

Frentzel was born in Schwarzkollm near Hoyerswerda as the son of the local Sorbian pastor Michał Frencel (1667–1752), whose father in turn was the pastor Michał Frencel from Großpostwitz , one of the creators of the Upper Sorbian Protestant written language. Salomon Gottlob studied in Bautzen and Wittenberg. In 1729 Frentzel was appointed pastor in Geierswalde , also located near Hoyerswerda. Later, from 1752, he was a deacon at Hoyerswerda.

In 1744, Frentzel wrote a chronicle of the city of Hoyerswerda, on which history is still based today. A street in Hoyerswerda is named after him.
