Salomon Schoenberg

Salomon Schönberg (born May 2, 1879 in Basel ; † May 12, 1958 ibid) was a Swiss forensic doctor and politician ( FDP ).

Career

Schönberg was a full professor of forensic medicine at the University of Basel . In 1915 he received his habilitation. In 1916 he became first assistant to the Pathological-Anatomical Institute in the canton of Basel-Stadt forensic doctor. From 1917 to 1953 Schönberg was the head of the Forensic Medical Institute. In 1924 he was able to set up a forensic medicine institute in the physical institute. In 1953, Schönberg's successor at the Institute for Forensic Medicine of the Canton of Basel-Stadt was Jürg Im Obersteg .

From 1924 to 1944 Schönberg was also a member of the Grand Council of the Canton of Basel-Stadt .
