geography

The Salt River rises in the area of Rhode Estate ( ) very close to the source of the Bell Hall River . The source streams initially flow south on a steep slope and only turn west at Bell Hall Estate and then steadily west. From the right and north still flows the larger Dormant River and other small tributaries from the area of Everton Hall Estate , before it is crossed by Bay Street at Tanetane and flows into Douglas Bay. The catchment area of the Manicou River joins to the north and the Bell Hall River to the south , which runs parallel in parts .
