Salvador is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in Portugal with an area of 6.5 km² and 6582 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011). This results in a population density of 1010 inh. / Km². Salvador belongs to the city of Beja and its district.
On September 29, 2013, the communities of Beja (Salvador) and Beja (Santa Maria da Feira) were merged to form the new community of União das Freguesias de Beja (Salvador e Santa Maria da Feira) . Beja (Salvador) is the seat of this newly formed community.
