Salvador Garriga Polledo (born August 6, 1957 in Gijón ) is a Spanish politician of the Partido Popular .

After receiving his diploma in foreign trade, Garriga Polledo worked as an economist and consultant and as an entrepreneur in foreign trade. He was responsible for external relations at the youth organization of the PP, and later he was responsible for relations between the sectors at the PP. For two years he was also Vice President of the Democrat Youth Community of Europe . In 1987, one year after Spain joined the European Union , he moved into the European Parliament , of which he was a member until 1989. From 1990 to 1993 he was a member of the Spanish Parliament , since 1994 he has been a member of the European Parliament again.

Polledo is a member of the Bureau of the Group of the European People's Party (Christian Democrats) and a member of the following committees and delegations: the Committee on Budgets and the delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean .

Polledo is deputy in the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs and the Delegation for relations with the Palestinian Legislative Council .
