Salvaterra do Extremo is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in the Portuguese district ( concelho ) of Idanha-a-Nova . 165 inhabitants live in it (as of June 30, 2011).
With the territorial reform in Portugal in 2013 , Salvaterra do Extremo was merged with Monfortinho to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Monfortinho e Salvaterra do Extremo . The seat of the new municipality became Monfortinho.
