The partially forested salt mountain has a summit height of 309.6 m above sea level. NN and is part of the Frauenseer forest . It is located near Gospenroda , a district of Werra-Suhl-Tal in the Wartburg district in Thuringia .
The mountain towering on the southern edge of the Horschlitter Mulde is used for agriculture. A road to the neighboring town of Frauensee and Dorndorf has been running on its slope for ages .
