Sam Manners

Sam Manners (actually Savino Maneri ; born March 29, 1921 in Cleveland , Ohio ; † June 1, 2012 ) was an American film producer .

Life

Manners began his career as a production manager for The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin and several crime novels in a similar capacity. Until well into the 1970s he was for Billy the Kid vs. Dracula , Heaven With a Gun , Valdez Is Coming , Cleopatra Jones and several other motion pictures. Then he shifted his work focus to television films; Works produced by him have twice been nominated for an Emmy . Another focus was on mini-series such as Pearl , Divorce Wars: A Love Story and Casanova . He was also responsible for some specials in the family series The Waltons .

Producer Kim Manners was his son.
