Samaneh Beirami Baher (born June 12, 1991 ) is an Iranian winter athlete who competed in grass skiing , cross-country skiing and alpine ski races . She won her first grass ski world cup points in the 2010 season .

Career

Grass ski

Samaneh Beirami Baher has only participated in grass ski races in her home country of Iran. After she had contested several FIS races in alpine skiing at the beginning of 2008 , she took part in a World Cup race for the first time in Dizin in August 2008 , but did not finish in this Super-G. The next World Cup starts only followed two years later in August 2010. This time she was disqualified in the giant slalom, but won her first World Cup points in Super-G in ninth and last place, making her 18th place last in the overall World Cup for the 2010 season. She also took part in the 2010 Junior World Championship , which was also held in Dizin at the same time . Even there, she couldn't keep up with the times of the strongest runners. In each of the nine runners, she was sixth in the slalom, seventh in the super combined and ninth in the super G. She was disqualified in the giant slalom. In 2011 and 2012 she did not take part in any competitions.

Cross-country skiing

Beirami Baher started competing in international FIS races in Iran in 2011 . Due to a small field of participants, she mostly achieved top placings, including many podium finishes and victories. On February 18, 2015, she started for the first time outside of Iran in an FIS race before the 2015 World Championships in Falun . She finished 24th after 5 km. At the World Cup itself, she competed as one of two participants in her country alongside Farzaneh Rezasoltani the qualification for the sprint race and was 85th In the end, she was rated 84th. At the 2017 World Championships in Lahti , she came 98th in the sprint. The following year she ran at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang on the 68th place in the sprint.

Alpine skiing

In alpine skiing, Beirami Baher competed in international FIS races in her native Iran between February and March 2008 . She also took part in the Iranian Championships, where she achieved a 10th place in the Super-G of Dizin as the best result .
