Samantha Fish

Samantha Fish (* 30th January 1989 in Kansas City ) is an American blues - and country - guitarist , singer and songwriter . During her appearances she is mostly only accompanied by electric bass and drums , sometimes also by keyboard , saxophone and trumpet ; on their musical excursions into the country milieu, a violin is usually also part of the party.
biography
Samantha Fish comes from a musical family, as both her father and uncle played blues guitar; she started playing the drums herself, then later at the age of 15 to play the guitar. Her older sister is the singer Amanda Fish . Her first appearances were at Knucklehead's Saloon in Kansas City at the age of 17 . In the following years she played together with Buddy Guy in his club in Chicago and with Ana Popović on their European tour. Her first album Runaway with nine titles she wrote herself was released on Ruf Records in 2011 . The criticism, which awarded her the prize for the best debut at the Blues Music Awards in Memphis (Tennessee) in 2012 , highlighted the variety of different styles on her debut work. Also on Ruf Records, the studio album Black Wind Howlin ', produced by Mike Zito, followed in 2013 and the studio album Wild Heart, produced by Luther Dickinson , in 2015 . She describes Chills and Fever as the album that she enjoyed the most.
