The Saminatal is a valley in the Austrian state of Vorarlberg and the mountain area of ​​the Principality of Liechtenstein . The Samina flows through it.

Surname

The name Saminatal goes back to pre-Roman times and has not yet been researched. The Samina valley was first mentioned in a document in 1378 as "samunnen valley", but the Samina brook is mentioned in a document as early as 1355 as "brook that is hoisted Samiun".

The valley lies on the Austrian side in the municipality of Frastanz in Vorarlberg in the Feldkirch district . The border between Liechtenstein and Austria runs through the valley .
