Samir Mazloum

Samir Mazloum (born September 10, 1934 in Kaakour ) is emeritus Curia Bishop in Antioch .

Life

Samir Mazloum was ordained a Maronite priest on June 7, 1964 . John Paul II appointed him on November 11, 1996 auxiliary bishop in Antioch and titular bishop of Callinicum dei Maroniti .

The Maronite Patriarch of Antioch and the whole of the Orient , Nasrallah Pierre Cardinal Sfeir , donated him episcopal ordination on January 11th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Francis Mansour Zayek , Archbishop ad personam of Saint Maron in Brooklyn , and Joseph Mohsen Béchara , Archbishop of Antelia .

In 2000 he was appointed Curia Bishop in Antioch. On August 13, 2011, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement.
